ILLCD068: Henri Hütt – Intered

INTERED
How close can one go if there is a spectator and a spectacle?
How close can one zoom if there are expectations and reality?
How precise can one be if there are right and even more right moments?
Or how to differentiate the border between lightness and darkness?

That elusive between area is when the lighthouse is dark between flashes. It is the instant between the ticks of the watch. It is a void interval that we witness all together and all the time.

How lost can one be when there is a space and some other space?
It is the interchronic pause that lets us to be together.

“Igal hommikul süttib tuli taeva altaril”

Henri Hütt & Riho Hütt

“Igal hommikul süttib tuli taeva altaril”

8.11 – 11.12.2016 @ Rakvere Galerii

Kui põhjamaises sügis-tsüklis valge aeg lüheneb, siis eha saabudes käivitub Rakvere Galeriis lavastatud keskkond, milles valgus, nähtav ja näiline jätkavad oma teekonda.

Riho ja Henri Hüti loominguline koostöö algas lavastusega “Sfääri Saared (in order to dance)” aastal 2012, mis tegeles küsimusega, kuidas läheneda olukorrale, kus domineerib mõõtmatu ruum / ruumi mõõtmatus?

Sound performance “&CO” with Algorütmid

“& co”  is a concert-performance by Algorütmid and Henri Hütt. Algorütmid (Mihkel
Tomberg ja Roland Karlson) have created sound designs for many performances that Henri has made.

This time they have changed the roles so that Henri adds some performative elements
to their concert. Algorütmid will perform music from their debut album coming out next year.

Idea and performance: Algorütmid & Henri Hütt

Staged exhibition @ Draakoni galerii

HENRI HÜTT, EVELYN RAUDSEPP

11.08-29.08. 2015

“But I Know From Your Smile that I Did Some Harm,
Poisoning the Rainbow For a While…”

Staged exhibition focuses on the possibility of theatre magic in a gallery space/context. How theatre magic is created? On one hand, it is a synergy between different theatrical components, but as important is the audience’s will to go along. Those two together in framed time and space create the performative situation.
“But I Know From Your Smile that I Did Some Harm, Poisoning the Rainbow For a While…” centers on contact / communication / coexistence. There is a group of professional on stage – dancing plants Codariocalyx Motorius. Can the gallery space create an environment for dancing? The audience is placed on the same fragile platform as in contemporary dance performance – will there be dance or not?

Music has a very important role in this staged exhibition experience, original soundtracks are composed by Algorutmid, Argo Vals, rin-la and Taavi Tulev.

“But I Know From Your Smile that I Did Some Harm, Poisoning the Rainbow For a While…” continues the series of staged exhibitions by Henri Hütt and Evelyn Raudsepp; their first attempt to find the intersection of theatre and visual art took place at performing arts festival Baltoscandal 2014. Investigating the format of staged exhibition, the authors continue testing theatrical components in the white cube.
